Welcome to the San Francisco Peninsula as it was almost a hundred years ago. Take a trip back the early years of the twentieth century and see what photographer A.G.C. Hahn described as "the San Mateo of Beautiful Homes, of Smiling Gardens, of fruits and flowers, of schools and playgrounds." These pictures were taken from a collection of hand tinted lantern slides originally created by Mr. Hahn as part of the San Mateo county exhibit at the Panama Pacific International Exposition of 1915 in San Francisco.
